Installation
After you download and unzip the program, you can put it anywhere in the DOS path (since you'll be running it from DOS). On my system, I have an all-purpose \bin directory that I put random utilities in, and put that in my path. That way I don't have a separate path entry for every little doo-dad I download. So that's where I'd put the PCD utilities. Once the program is in the path, you can execute it from anywhere (ie. from whatever directories you keep your designs in).
Usage
At the DOS command prompt, enter

PCD2TEXT file.pcd textfile.pcd

where file.pcd is a Pfaff Creative Designer version 2 embroidery design file, and textfile.pcd is the name of the output text file. Don't use the same file name for both files as this will destroy the input file. The input file may have the extensions PCD, PCQ, or PCS. Color information in PCS files will be discarded.
